WHO WE ARE

Beijing Oriental Star is an early childhood education company that exclusively focuses on children's cognitive development in the early years. Headquartered in Beijing, the capital of China, Oriental Star has now established more than 20 branches across China serving more than 100,000 children expanding in the meantime.

Beijing Oriental Star is committed to becoming a leader of early childhood intellect development in both basic research and product commercialization. Oriental star expects to employ the latest development in neural science and child psychology and integrate them with good human interface design to make the best possible games products that can engage the kids and develop their intellect power. Our objective is simple: to let every child to optimize their mental development and enhance their competitiveness in the subsequent life-time with interesting games interaction.
 
THE HISTORY

Beijing Oriental Star was co-founded by Mr.Yang Wenze and Mr. Wang Ligong in 1995, amid a chaotic market environment. The early 1990s saw the origination of parental attention on early childhood education, but the market was then predominantly dominated by training programs that focuses on? Playing music instruments or reciting Chinese ancient poems, programs that the two cofounders thought tackled those tangential aspects instead of the core capability. With the belief that core cognitive skills and mental competency are more central and crucial to the long-term development of an individual, Mr. Yang and Mr. Wang co-started the present Beijing Oriental Star.

• In 1995, oriental star established its first service center: Beijing Educational Service Center.
• In 1997, Oriental Star successfully launched "individualized family curriculum on intellect education"
• In June 1998, Oriental Star established its second service center: Shanghai Educational Service Center.
• In Dec, 2000, Oriental Star launched the "Intellect Development Norm for Chinese preschoolers aged between 3 and 6", approved by which authority
• In May 2001, Oriental Star launched the "Specialty Game-based Kindergarten Curriculum on Intellect Education".
• July 2001, Oriental Star participated in the Beijing municipal government's 10^th 5-year scientific education planning research project "kindergarten-family integrated intellect education".
• September, 2001, Oriental Star was approved by the Committee of Science and Technology of Beijing Municipal government as "Scientifically advanced Company".
• May, 2002, the number of Oriental Star's customers exceeded 200,000
• May, 2002, the product line of Oriental Star was completely refreshed and with the capacity of producing 120 games.
• September, 2002, the internal information platform of Oriental Star was introduced and launched.
• Feb, 2003, Oriental Star joined the national 10^th 5-year planning of scientific education research project "Approaches to Promoting Children's Mental Development".
• June 2004, Oriental Star held its first "National Kindergarten principal summit" in Beijing.
